Energy Minister AK Sharma participated in the Conference of Power and New and Renewable Energy Ministers of States and Union Territories held in Udaipur.

 

 Discussion took place in the conference regarding meeting the country's energy needs in future.





 Udaipur, Rajasthan, from today under the leadership of Union Energy, New and Renewable Minister Shri RK Singh, in relation to meeting the energy needs in the country in future, strengthening the existing power system, and doing better work on infrastructure, reducing line losses.  A two-day conference of Power and New and Renewable Energy Ministers of the States and Union Territories was held in  State Energy and Urban Development Minister Shri AK Sharma also participated in this conference.  The upcoming schemes related to energy of the Government of India were discussed in the conference.

 Energy Minister Shri AK Sharma informed that detailed discussions were held regarding the energy needs of the Center as well as the states.  In the press conference held after the conference, he told that under the Saubhagya Yojana as per the wishes of the Prime Minister, the work of providing electricity to the remote villages and habitations of Uttar Pradesh was done.  In the last tenure of the state, more than 1.21 lakh houses were electrified and more than 1.47 crore houses were given connections.  He has said that the Union Minister has directed that the houses which are still deprived of electrification and the houses which have not got electricity connection yet, should also be provided with electricity.
